In Memory of Jim
We will leave Jim's story on our website. Jim has passed away. For the years of his life following our rescue he was safe, warm, fed and loved.

Please share Jim's story. Thank you.
In the spirit of the Christmas Season....Please make a donation in honor of Jim's rescue so we can help more animals. Crawford County is one of the three poorest counties in the state. In the county there is no animal shelter, no access to an animal shelter, no animal control services and no veterinarian. But there are people like you who care. If every person donates just $3 we can cover Jim's medical expenses plus help more animals. ~ River Valley Crawford County Humane Society Indiana

Jim's story...A 'bundle of rags' was seen staggering down a deserted gravel road in northern Crawford County Indiana. RVHS volunteer Annette could barely distinguish what turned out to be a dog. When she stopped her truck and got out he ran from her about 20 feet and then fell over. She picked him up. The only thing nearby was a pile of trash. We wonder if he was thrown out like garbage.
The suffering little dog was taken for veterinary care. The mats covered his entire body. He was sedated and the mats were removed.
We are pleased to announce 'Jim' is in foster care and he is a happy fellow! He will be available for adoption in about a month.
With your help we can reach out to the suffering, neglected and abandoned animals who need us. Please donate. http://www.rivervalleyhumanesociety.org/donate.html
